Moana TD Sensor
Operating temperature range & accuracy
The Moana TD Sensor delivers highly accurate temperature measurements with better than ±0.05°C accuracy and 0.001°C resolution. Its fast-response titanium probe performs reliably across temperatures from -20°C to +35°C, capturing precise, high-quality data in demanding marine environments.
The sensor continuously monitors its surrounding environment, automatically compensating for changes in barometric pressure to accurately detect the start of each fishing event without any operator input. This ensures reliable data capture from the moment the gear enters the water.
Throughout the fishing event, the Moana TD Sensor automatically adapts its sampling strategy, switching between profiling mode and time series mode while applying a passive wave filter in shallow water to maintain accurate temperature and depth measurements.
When the fishing gear is lifted from the water, the Moana TD Sensor automatically transfers the recorded data wirelessly to the Moana Deck Unit, where it is ready for secure storage and cloud upload without interrupting normal fishing operations.
